Question Strategies Tier List

This tier list ranks question strategies for AI Interrogation on Roblox. The game by TrueTalk AI gives you limited tries — usually 10 — to force a confession. Soft endless chatting and mean empty threats both fail. Use this ranking with interrogation strategies and the question planner.

S tier — ask these on purpose

StrategyExample shapeWhy it wins
Single evidence ask“Explain the fingerprints on the hammer.”One fact, one answer
Quote contradiction“You said X. How does Y fit?”Turns lies into ladders
Location step ask“Were you at the gas station before the warehouse?”Powers Case 005
Timed yes/no“Were you there at 9?”Stops charming essays
Clean close“Confess to [crime] now.”Converts proof to wins

S-tier questions are short, brief-tied, and do one job.

A tier — strong in the right phase

  • Alibi mapping early (“Where were you?”) — essential in tries 1–3, weak if spam forever.
  • Disposal probes (“What did you throw in the dumpster?”) — great on Marcus-style object cases from the confession guide.
  • Clock challenges — A when the brief supports timeline breaks.
  • Path continuity — A on multi-stop cases; mandatory feel on Warehouse Fire.

B tier — situational

  • Soft rapport lines to recover from near-shutdown.
  • Motive questions after proof exists.
  • Witness-name checks when the brief names a witness.
  • Restating evidence with new framing (not pure repeat).

B-tier is fine when A/S options are exhausted. It is not an opener kit.

C tier — often wasteful

  • Open “tell me everything” prompts.
  • Compound triple questions in one try.
  • Hypothetical philosophy (“If someone did this, would they…?”).
  • Repeating the identical sentence after a full answer.

These burn tries while feeling clever.

D tier — high shutdown or stall risk

  • Insult-only messages.
  • Threat spam without evidence.
  • Mocking the suspect’s intelligence.
  • Rapid-fire accusations on try 1.

Remember: too mean = shutdown. Recovery costs tries you do not have.

F tier — actively throws runs

  • Chasing boots/dirtbike or other gear tangents on location cases.
  • Debating after a completed confession.
  • Asking about facts not in the brief and inventing lore.
  • Relying on codes for extra asks — there are currently none (active codes).

Phase pairing

PhasePreferred tiers
Map (1–3)A mapping, S timed yes/no
Pressure (4–7)S evidence, S quote, A disposal/clock
Close (8–10)S clean close, maybe one A restatement

Use the pressure checklist if you are unsure whether to stay in pressure or close.

Case examples

  • Marcus-style: S evidence on hammer / stain / clock / dumpster.
  • Case 004: S evidence order — see Case 004.
  • Case 005: S location steps; F gear tangents — see Case 005.
  • Daily/Custom: same tiers, new nouns — Daily, Custom.

Promotion rules

Promote a question style only if it repeatedly creates usable contradictions without shutdowns. Demote a style if it burns two tries without new facts. Keep a personal tally for a week; your S-tier list should converge with this page’s S-tier rows.

If you mainly play location spikes, your personal A-tier may overweight path asks. That is fine — just do not demote quote traps; they transfer everywhere.

Promote one S-tier habit per session. Demote one F-tier habit. That two-change rule improves clear rates faster than rewriting your entire script, and it keeps Warehouse Fire from becoming a dirtbike debate club.

FAQ

Quick answers for AI Interrogation detectives.

What is the single best question type?

A single evidence ask tied to the brief. Pair it with quote contradictions when answers conflict.

No. Insult-only lines sit in D/F because they cause shutdowns.

Where do I practice S-tier asks?

Use the question planner and drill in Custom Cases.

How does this list relate to Case 005?

Location step asks are S; boots/dirtbike tangents are F. Full route in Case 005.

Should beginners memorize this whole table?

Memorize S and F first, then read beginner tips.
