Case 003 is the Daniel murder / stabbing brief that community walkthroughs slot after the gas-station robbery. The suspect’s opening move is usually sleep: they were in bed, they heard nothing, they liked Daniel or barely knew him. You will not fit all six into ten tries if you also make small talk. Pick the neighbor time, the knife, and the palm as the mandatory three. Use the extra lines only if a try comes back empty.
Why the sleep story is dangerous
Sleep is a complete alibi. If you accept it, every later object becomes “I don’t remember, I was asleep.” Spend try 1–2 getting them to repeat the sleep claim in a tight sentence. Then hit 11:40. If they pivot to “the neighbor lies,” ask what the neighbor could have heard that was not an argument — then return to the knife. Do not prosecute the neighbor for three tries; you do not have a second interrogator.

Tone
Case 003 shuts down fast if you open with “You stabbed Daniel.” It also stalls forever if you comfort them about grief. Use the band on too mean vs too nice: firm, specific, one fact per send. The palm cut is physical — ask how, when, what they were holding. “Cooking” and “box at work” are stall genres; ask why the knife is in their trash after that story.

Stick to folder nouns. If your brief never mentions a palm, do not invent a palm. Rank real objects with evidence priority.
